My sister, stronger than the rest. (11.29)

My sister is, everything the title says. She is stronger than anyone else I know, and has everything anyone would ever want, even if she doesn’t know it.

My sister goes to school full time, works, has a son, has a social life, a family that loves her and still fits in being awesome.

Shanna and I have been close for as long as I can remember. We have so many inside jokes, it is almost unbearable. ( Right Captain Kinky?) We have a lot in common, and understand each other really well. She teaches me more than I even know it. She teaches me to respect my family, and other things. She teaches me that  my life is up to me, and by her example I can see the outcome of different choices she has made. She shows me how to love. She inspires me to live out my deepest dream.

She gives me advice like the sink gives you water. She is always helping me with homework, and I have returned the favor a few times. (I still don’t get math, regardless of how many times I teach her.) She is going to become a respiratory therapist, and is going to graduate very soon. So on top of all ^ that awesomeness, she is going to keep people breathing. MY SISTER LITERALLY SAVES LIVES.

My sister is a mom. Through her actions, and recent choices, her being a mom has been different than everyone else, just for a while. She knows that nothing is permanent and that everything she is doing is only for the benefit of her son. She knows what she is doing is, although hard, the right thing and will eventually pay off. More than she knows it.

If you think your sister shows up my sister, at all…prove it. This is the best living example of hope, and faith on the face of the earth.

You are my hero.

I love you Judas.

Working Class Hero- Green Day/ John Lennon

There's room at the top, they're telling you still
But first you must learn how to smile as you kill
If you want to be like all the folks on the hill

A working class hero is something to be
If you want to be a hero, well, just follow me
If you want to be a hero, well, just follow me

Be Here Now (11.28)

Living in the moment is something that i have always tried to do. By being "here now", I am paying attention to what is going on now, and loving the things that are going on, now. By living in the past, or in what happened before, you are living with things you can't change. This life is only what you make it, and by living here, you are going to be able to look back, and be proud of what happened, and how you lived your life.

If you sit back, and watch your life go by, because you are more caught up in what happened, or what is going to happen, your going to miss what is happening. Your going to miss out on the life that you wish you had. If you had the chance to live your life, any way you wanted to, would you? If you had the chance to control the outcome of your life, would you? If you could be happy with the choices you made, would you? If you could take hold of any opportunity, would you? YOU CAN! You can do anything you want to, and only if you life in the now. The future will and can only be controlled by what happens now.

Be Here Now. Remember what is going on, now. Love your life, now. Remember the good times you've had, but be here now. Good times come and go, but if you live in the now, you will always be aware of what is going on.

Ray LaMontagne - Be Here Now

Don't let your soul get lonely child
It's only time, it will go by
Don't look for love in faces, places
It's in you, that's where you'll find kindness

Be here now, here now
Be here now, here now

Don't lose your faith in me
And I will try not to lose faith in you
Don't put your trust in walls
'Cause walls will only crush you when they fall

Dreams (11.27)

“Dreams are illustrations... from the book your soul is writing about you.” - Marsha Norman

We go to sleep every night, with all that happened that day on our minds. We try to push it all to the side as we drift, into a place of peace, a new place every night. Somewhere that you can create things the way you want them, and make your world a better place. You may fret sleeping, because the dreams you have aren't happy, and maybe are scary. Maybe all you want to do is sleep, because that place you go, is better than the world you live in, when the sun is up. Maybe your dreams are interpreting to you something, a bigger picture than what you can see, in the daylight.

Wishing to remember the dreams you have, is one of the hardest things on this planet. Trying to re-tell your epic adventure, and giving it, in all of its glory, is a hard task, harder than just plain remembering it.

I hear about people dreaming different ways. In color. In black and white. Half and Half. People who only get to see parts. People who run through there dreams. People who don't dream. People who live a more vivid dream life than anything in real life.

Dreams sometimes show us the things we need in our life. Pay attention. Maybe someone is trying to tell you something.

Live out your dream, the deepest ones always seem the hardest, give it a shot.

Dreams - We Came As Romans
This is not what we were made for.
Far from the compassion we have known.
Far from the love that we have shown.
He tells me that love will endure all things.

I know that you are forever my brother.
Here I struggle with you my brother.

He tells me that love endures all things.
and I'll have you know
I'll have you know...

This is my
This is my deepest dream.
This is how I show you my love.
Beloved let us love one another
This is my deepest dream.

Thanks Bro. (11.25)

           Happy Thanksgiving.

Today, is the day we look onto all of the things we are thankful for, and for all the great things we have. We are so lucky to be able to live in this country, and to live out our deepest dreams. We should be thankful for our famlilies and friends, and all of the people who make our lives worth living.

As I think about thanksgiving, I think about how, especially on this day we look back to think about all of the good things in life. I think we need to be thankful EVERYDAY for all that we have. I think that being thankful for what we have, is something that can truly show everyone how happy we are to have them in our life.

This life we live is only what we make it, and if you make your life something to be great full for, you need to show the ultimate appreciation for it, everyday. So many people give up there life, because they think it is the only option, and I am here to tell you, Life does get better, but i can't make it get better, we must all work as one to improve our lives. The love I have for everything in this life, is like nothing i can explain to you..

I am so great full for all the beautiful things in life <3  Happy Thanksgiving. Go stuff your beautiful faces <3

Homesick - A Day To Remember

Everything around me seems so much different than where I'm from
And at this rate I think my fate's been sealed
This life's so unpredictable
We'll go continue to live a life that no one knows
Where's this gonna go?

Inspirations (11.23)

People ask me what inspires me and what makes me who I am. The answer to this question is really hard because, everything inspires me, in one way or another. Everything I see makes me think about who I am, and who I am becoming. Often, people inspire me. Not always the people you think either. Sometimes, it is the kids who bully, or are rude. Not just to me and my friends, but to my teachers and other adults that deserve (respect.)

The following people mean something to me, and continue to teach me every day. If you are not included in this list, you still mean a lot to me, these are just the ones sticking out in my head right now.

Shanna Maretsky: My sister, the one who has been there for me literally since day one. Someone who I look to for answers, and help not only with things like homework, and future decisions, but with problems with friends and family. Issues I cannot go to other people with. She is my hero, to keep pushing forward, and to be here now.

Hunter Bingham: Your 6, be glad you’re on the list. At such a young age, this young man’s wit gives me strength. He shows me the good parts in life. He teaches me to still live as a child and to play, have fun and be awesome. I love you h.k.

Kendra Larsen: Kendra shows me that you can literally have a smile on your face the entire day. You can be serious and have fun. You can be smart, and fun. Kendra teaches me that, true friends do still exist. She gives me the chance to trust someone. She gives me hope. ( so indeed.)

Mommy: You made me, so I guess I have to love you somehow. My mom shows me you can make something out of nothing, and can make your own business. She teaches me to live out my dreams and live to the fullest, something we must always do.

“Lowpass”: My brother. What a guy. My brother inspires me to stay clean from drugs and to be safe. He shows me that you can be happy sober and that the life you lead is up to you. He is becoming famous before my eyes. I love you Nate.

Hailey: You have changed my life, regardless of what anyone tells me, you are my hero.

Delaney: D, has ready my blog a lot and given me the inspiration to keep going. Thank you. More than you know. Thank you.

Dad: Someone I grew up with. I went to work with him, and learned a lot of really cool things. My dad continues to supports my hopes and dreams.

Alexa: This kid is one of a kind, and inspires me to be myself, someone I can always be. She lets me trust her, and gives me respect. She comes to me with questions and asking for advice, it makes me stronger. I love her.

We Came As Romans: This band, the inspiration for the title of this blog. This band probably has been quoted more on this blog than any other musical artist. They have taught me, and showed me, to find faith in life, in whatever will keep you believing that we are not meaningless. Life changing.

Amanda Knorr: My sister, the one who inspires me to have a family and inspires me by the way she treats hers. One of a kind.

Dillon Di Vitale: Thank you for serving our country, you inspire me by the willingness you have to risk everything to be there for us, when we need it most.

Larry: You teach me to respect everyone and to treat everyone the way they deserve to be treated. You change my life every day, even if I forget to tell you that.

Nelson: You made me want to be at school and showed me that learning can be fun. You are such a great lady. One of my favorites for sure.

Everyone who told me and tells me I can’t: You make me try. You show me that I can do it, and that nothing can stop me. Keep doing what you’re doing, maybe I will get somewhere in life.

You guys keep me going. You guys make this life worth living and you guys show me who I want to become.

Respect. (11.22)

I don't have enough time to go into the depth that I would like to with this topic. It is something that everyone deserves, and everyone deserves to give. Respecting someone, although not the easiest or the most comfortable, in the long run is what needs to be done. When someone asks for space, although not the easiest, we must RESPECT them and take a step back. This will benefit you in the long run, I promise.

Not all people will give you the respect you deserve right away. Some people want to earn the respect they are willing to give you. If you want to be a respectable individual, do the things to make you that way. Sitting back, running your mouth, is not the way to get peoples respect. Respects runs for much longer than anything else you can give someone, and could possibly change your life.

When people have respect for me, it has a greater impact than almost anything else someone can say. When someone can understand how you feel, and respect your opinion and your side of a situation, it makes me thinks much more of them. It makes me respect them. I try my hardest to respect people older than me. Although age does not mark wisdom, sometimes looking in the footsteps of others can teach you something. That is why people older than you deserve respect, no matter what.

I also respect people who keep there chin up, and try to be nice. It is one of the things i look for most. Some of my friends, i can respect more than others, for the way they treat me, but more for how they treat others. It makes me look twice, seeing people be nice to each other.

The respect you gives me, makes my heart warm and fuzzy. <3

Oh (sock it to me, sock it to me,
sock it to me, sock it to me)
A little respect (sock it to me, sock it to me,
sock it to me, sock it to me)
Whoa, babe (just a little bit)
A little respect (just a little bit)
I get tired (just a little bit)
Keep on tryin' (just a little bit)
You're runnin' out of foolin' (just a little bit)
And I ain't lyin' (just a little bit)
(re, re, re, re) 'spect
When you come home (re, re, re ,re)
Or you might walk in (respect, just a little bit)
And find out I'm gone (just a little bit)
I got to have (just a little bit)
A little respect (just a little bit)

Nature (11.21)

This is something, that literally keeps us all alive. The most beautiful thing on this entire planet is literally ten steps away, and yet we take it for granted so much. The beauty that surrounds us literally takes my breathe away and makes me so happy every time I walk out side. I find peace in nature and am one of those people who loves doing things outside.

Some people hate the snow, and others love it. Just like anything else, the snow provides wonderful opportunities that I can't get year around. Why not enjoy the time we have with the stuff falling from the sky. It is a gift, and we need to learn to embrace it, because, well...it's not going away.

If your cold, get some tea. If your hot, get some tea.

Either way, you can be happy.

I have nothing more to say. Go outside. Lets play?

The Sun - Portugal. The Man.

If you look real high

You just might find

Sitting in the stars

Glistening, glistening

Waiting for the band to come

Just waiting for that man to come

Oh, I wonder...

Slip on down from that sun

To climb down to earth

And down to things like time

Because we are all, we are all just lovers

Born of earth and light like all these others

What? (11.20)

Just watch this. That is all I have to say about trends and things being not popular <3 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UOMFDS0Cgeo
"When we love, its isn't because the person's perfect, its because we learn to see an imperfect person perfectly. We embrace their everything." - Rachel Maretsky
